On October 25, 2009, the Minister of Immigration and French Integration Eric Besson launches the question “What is national identity?” in the media. He imposes a topic of debate that does not correspond to any specific news event, creating and guiding a public opinion.

The device of the installation, through a screen that reproduces a mouth that pronounces the answers that arose in the sphere of public opinion to this question, makes it possible to adopt different discourses and opinions. As Pierre Bourdieu states: “Public opinion is an artifact”.
